Scott Reid Serkes


Scott Reid Serkes, MA, teaches poetry workshops in the San Francisco Bay Area.

He began teaching The Albany Poetry Workshop in the East Bay at the Albany Adult School in 1979.

In 1996, he began teaching poetry at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, and he now continues with off-campus Sonoma County poets at The Sitting Room in Cotati.

He is also currently an adjunct faculty in the Special Education & Seniors Program at Santa Rosa Junior College where he presents autobiography writing courses for Sonoma County elders.

His poems have appeared in The Berkeley Poetry Review, Tomcat, and Blue Unicorn. He has received fellowships from the Squaw Valley Community of Writers, The Napa Valley Writers' Conference, and The Bread Loaf Writers' Conference.

He lives in Healdsburg, California.
